More and more children, teenagers, and adults are diagnosed with ADHD. The world loves to analyze the behavior of people and to label and classify people. As soon as someone shows some kind of behavior, which, according to the specialists of this world aka the scientists, deviates from ‘normal behavior’, the person is labeled. Scientists think that through observation and analyzing behavior they are able to read the person. But there is only One, Who knows every person on this earth and that’s our Almighty God! Depending on the diagnosis of doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, etc. they get medical treatment, behavioral therapy, and/or medication. Especially medication should do the work and make the life of a person more pleasant. The way of the world is to help and heal a person through natural means and methods, but what is God’s way of healing? How can a person be de livered from ADHD? What does the Bible say about deliverance from ADHD?
What is ADHD?
ADHD stands for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. ADHD symptoms are restlessness, extreme hyperactivity, recklessness, disorganization, insomnia, inattention difficulties, concentration difficulties, learning difficulties, and impulsivity.
When a person is diagnosed with ADHD, many times other behavioral disorders are being diagnosed as well. A well-known combination of behavioral and anti-social personality disorders is, for example, ADHD and autism.
ADHD and medical treatment
According to medical science, ADHD can’t be cured. However, you can reduce the symptoms of ADHD, through medical treatment; cognitive behavioral therapy, and medications. By using the medication the impulses will be controlled, which causes a soothing effect. But the person doesn’t get healed. As soon as the person stops taking medication, the symptoms of ADHD will return.
Many children, teenagers, and adults suffer from ADHD. It is an evil power, that controls the lives of many people and keeps many people in bondage.
The destructive character of ADHD
ADHD has a destructive character. ADHD not only has a destructive effect on the life of a person, who is diagnosed with ADHD, but ADHD also has a destructive effect on the environment of the person.
When parents have a child with ADHD, then many times the parents are desperate and don’t know what to do anymore. Because the child is rebellious, hyperactive, and uncontrollable.
There are many parents, who have tried a lot of things to appease their children and make the children manageable. But it seems like the more they’ll try and the more they do their best and meet the will of the children, the more rebellious, hyperactive, and uncontrollable the children become.
In the worst cases of ADHD, a child may even be hospitalized in a psychiatric ward. ADHD has a destructive character. It doesn’t build up, but it only breaks down. ADHD may lead to depression and even suicide.
ADHD exposed
The world may give it a name: ADHD and the world consider ADHD a behavioral disorder, whereby the cause is still unclear to them and they can only guess. The world can treat ADHD by means of human methods, technics, and medication. But ADHD is nothing more, than the result and a manifestation of an evil spirit (unclean spirit) from the kingdom of darkness that reigns in the life of a person and controls the person’s life (child, teenager, adult).
How can an evil spirit enter someone’s life?
It doesn’t matter how this evil spirit has entered the life of the person. Because there are so many spiritual gateways through which an evil spirit can enter. The evil spirit can be present in the soul from birth or enter through nurture or channels like television, gaming, computer, books, social media, certain sports like martial arts, yoga, etc., music, entertainment, drugs, vaccines, new age, etc.
Therefore, you shouldn’t be focused on that and don’t dig into the past, as the world does. But you should focus on the solution and how a person can be set free and be delivered from ADHD and healed.
Is there a solution for ADHD and can ADHD be cured?
Yes, there is a solution for ADHD and ADHD can be cured by Jesus Christ. In the Name of Jesus Christ this evil spirit of darkness has to bow for the Name of Jesus and in His authority must leave the life of the person.
When we look at the Bible, there is a story about two men, who lived in the country of the Gadarenes (the country of the Gergesenes). The man of whom Mark and Luke wrote, was untamable and possessed and controlled by evil spirits of the kingdom of darkness. That’s why he stayed in the tombs because death reigned in this man.
These unclean spirits had caught him, many times. But nobody had enough strength to restrain him. No one was able to control and bind this possessed man, not even with chains. Because oftentimes they securely bound the man with shackles and chains, but every time the man snapped the chains in two and crushed the shackles together.
No one was able to help the possessed man, except Jesus
The man was driven by these unclean spirits to lonely places and lived in the tombs and in the mountains, and was continually screaming and shrieking, while the man constantly lacerating himself all over with stones. This man was a prisoner of the devil and death and nobody was able to help the possessed man until the man met Jesus Christ.
When the possessed man saw Jesus from a distance, the man ran towards Jesus. Jesus was not afraid of the man and didn’t run away.
Jesus saw a man, who was taken captive by the devil and was possessed by demonic spirits.
A legion of demonic spirits lived in the person (A legion was a Roman chosen body of about 4200 to 6000 soldiers. In the time of Jesus it formed a complete army of 5000 men).
These evil spirits not only terrorized the man’s life but also terrorized the lives of the people, who lived there. Because they were afraid of the possessed man. But Jesus wasn’t afraid of the possessed man.
Jesus saw a possessed man, who was taken captive. Jesus saw a man, who was hurting and suffering because of the possession of these demonic spirits.
In the authority of His Father, Jesus commanded the unclean spirits to leave the man. In response to Jesus’ command, the possessed man prostrated himself on the ground before Jesus and cried out with a great voice, saying: “what is there in common between me and you, Jesus, you Son of the most high God? I adjure you, by God, don’t begin to torment me”.
When Jesus asked his name, he answered Him and said “legion”, because many devils had entered him. He kept on pleading much with Jesus. So that Jesus would not send them away out of the country or out in the deep, but allow them to enter the herd of swine. Jesus allowed them to enter the herd of swine and let them go.
The nature and mission of demonic spirits
When we look at the herd of swine and what happened to them, after these evil spirits entered them, we see the true character and behavior of demonic spirits and their purpose.
When we look at the herd of swine, we see what will happen when demonic spirits stay in a person’s life. Because the legion had only one mission and that was to destroy. They made the 2000 swine run violently down a steep place into the sea and were drowned in the sea.
Although the evil spirits couldn’t fulfill their mission in the life of the person, they did accomplish their task and mission in the lives of the herd of swine.
But the man was delivered by Jesus Christ. He was set free from all demonic powers. This became immediately visible by his peacefulness and that he was clothed and in his right mind (Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8:26-39, Matthew 8:28-34).
As long as people stay carnal and live after the flesh, they will believe in medical science and put their trust in the wisdom and knowledge, methods, and ability of man. Therefore they will seek help in the world and make use of human scientific behavioral treatments, medication, methods, and technics.
But when a person becomes born again in Christ and walks after the Spirit, the person shall get spiritual insights into the spiritual realm and the Kingdom of God by the Word and the Holy Spirit and shall go to God for help.
What does the Bible say about deliverance from ADHD?
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:8-11)
Jesus Christ is the only One, who can deliver a person and set a person free from ADHD. Because every power that has a name in the heavens and on earth must bow for the Name of Jesus.
When a child is delivered from this unclean spirit, then the child will behave and function normally. This also applies to teenagers and adults. But when a child is delivered from ADHD it’s very important how the child lives and how the child is nurtured and what things the child feeds himself or herself. Not only at home but also at school, including Christian schools.
Because in today’s world, most Christian schools have adopted the spirit of the world and have become like the world. The word ‘Christian’ doesn’t represent what it should represent. They may use the name ‘Christian’, but it’s all about what they teach, represent, and what they do and don’t do at school. As long as certain things, which do not line up with the Word of God, are taught, done, and allowed, then the word ‘Christian’ doesn’t mean that much and has no value at all.
As a parent, God has given you the responsibility to take care of your child and no one else. You are responsible to nurture and raise your child and protect your child. It’s your task as a believer and parent to raise your child in the Word and the wisdom of God and to be careful about what things your child is exposed to.
If you don’t raise your child in the Word of God and don’t claim your child for the Kingdom of God and don’t protect your child from the world, then the world shall steal your child and your child shall become a victim (Read also: The lost child, The danger of television for children and The danger of children’s books‘
Seek the things which are above, where Christ is seated
This also applies to adults, who have been delivered from ADHD and set free. It’s important what kind of things you get involved with and feed yourself with. Do you walk after the Spirit? And do you feed yourself with the Word of God and the things, which are above where Christ is seated? Or do you stay carnal and keep walking after the flesh and feed yourself with the things of this world?
If you do the latter one, then it won’t be long before this unclean spirit returns and enter your life again. And this evil spirit will not come alone. But this evil spirit will take his seven friends, who are more evil than he, with him. And they shall torment you and make your life worse than it was before (Luke 11:24-26).
Therefore stay awake and be watchful. Be filled with the Word and the Holy Spirit and be obedient to Them and let Them guide you.
