Can you use a broken world as an excuse?

We live in a broken world, that’s true. But can you use a broken world as an excuse, to keep doing those things, which are an abomination to God and go against His will? Can you use a broken world as an excuse to keep living like the world and keep living in sin? Although we live in a broken world, we don’t belong to the broken world anymore. Living in a broken world doesn’t mean that we should follow the example of the broken world and do the same things that unbelievers, who belong to the broken world, do. If believers do the same things and live the same lives as unbelievers, then they show through their conduct and speech, that they still belong to the broken world. Because they love the things, which this broken world has to offer. They are not willing to change and remove the carnal things out of their lives. No, they love those things, that go against the will of God and His Word, too much.

Jesus came to restore

Jesus came to this earth to restore, what the devil had broken. Jesus came to reconcile man back to God, restore his dominion, and to restore (heal) that which was broken. If believers are دوبارہ پیدا ہونا in Him and follow Him, they shall walk after the will of God and live the same life as Jesus lived and do the same works. They shall not approve and tolerate sin, but shall call people to repentance, reconcile man back to God and heal (restore) those things which are broken (Lu 24:47).

Old man is crucified in ChristThe gospel of Jesus Christ is not meant to use as a cover to persevere in sin.

Jesus came to deal with sin and the sinful nature of man. He didn’t come to give man a free card to keep living as the old man in sin. His precious blood doesn’t give anyone the right to habitually keep living in sin.

As long as you live like the world and do the same things, you did before your repentance, when you were still the old man, then you still belong to the world.

You shall not listen, believe and do what the Bible tells you to do, but you shall listen, believe and do what the world says and tells you to do. You shall have the same mind as this world, you shall go to the same secular provision of services and assistance to seek for help, you shall enjoy what the world has to offer and shall look for the same forms of entertainment to please and enjoy yourself. You shall do the same works and shall bear the same carnal fruit. That’s why jealousy, envy, unforgiveness, self-pity, angriness, impatience, lying, fear, depression, drunkenness, infidelity, divorce, adultery, living together unmarried, premarital sex, homosexuality etc. shall be part of life.

Use the broken world as an excuse to keep living in sin

The world uses all kinds of excuses, to exculpate from her responsibilities, save face, shift blame and to condone wrong behavior and works. As soon as you confront a person, and hold a person accountable for his/her responsibility or when you address the person’s speech or behavior, the person shall always have an excuse to condone the person’s behavior. People never take the blame and never hold themselves accountable for their conduct, behavior, and responsibilities. No, it’s always someone else’s fault, the past, the way they were raised or born, the circumstances, and they even blame God. They are responsible and are to blame for people’s behavior and conduct.

The world uses endless excuses, and because many believers feed themselves with the world and live like the world, they also use endless excuses, to exculpate their responsibilities and condone their behavior.

Do you always remain a sinnerMany believers use ‘living in a broken world’ as an excuse, so that they won’t have to change, but can keep walking as the old man. Just like many believers also use the excuse, that they are born that way and that they will always remain a sinner, and therefore they are allowed to sin.

But in the Kingdom of God, there are no excuses. Look for instance at the parable of the talents (Mat 25:24-30).

You cannot use the eternal sinner and live in a broken world as an excuse to keep living like the world, condone sin, tolerate and accept sin, and to keep living in sin. Because there will not be a single excuse, that you can use to persevere in sin and to inherit the Kingdom of God. Because if you persevere in sin, it proves that you are still a sinner and that you have not repented. Because a sinner perseveres in sin and keeps living in sin. When you see a tree with apples, you will know that it’s an apple tree and not a pear tree. Even when there is a sign in front of the tree, that says ‘pear tree’. You can confess what you want, but your actions and the fruit you produce prove, who you follow and to whom you belong: Jesus and the Kingdom of God or the devil and the kingdom of darkness; the (broken) world.

You cannot habitually keep living in sin and inherit the Kingdom of God. Because you won’t inherit the Kingdom of God when you die, but you will inherit the Kingdom of God in your life on this earth when you put off the old man and put on the new man. Therefore, if you are not willing to put on the new man, it proves that you don’t belong to the Kingdom of God.

If there is no desire in you to live holy and righteous and to remove those carnal things out of your life, that goes against the will of God, then you don’t belong to Jesus and the Kingdom of God. Because Jesus says, that those who are born of God and belong to Him, shall listen to His voice and follow Him and therefore they shall do His words.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one (Jn 10:27-30)

That means, that you will follow the Word in your life. You shall listen and do what the Word tells you to do. If you love God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, then you will not do anything that will hurt Them or damage their Name, but you shall do those things, which pleases Them and glorify and honor Them.

Jesus lived in a broken world

Jesus lived in a broken world, but that didn’t hold him back to live holy and righteous after the will of God. Jesus never said: "Yes, but Father, You have sent Me to this broken world, and therefore I am allowed to live the way they live.” No, Jesus stayed loyal to His Father and lived after His will, instead of living after the flesh, that belongs to the devil (the broken world). By living after the will of His Father, He showed that He belonged to Him and He honored and exalted the Father with His life. Everything Jesus did, He did to glorify and honor the Father.

Jesus brought sinners to repentanceWas Jesus discouraged, and did He sit around doing nothing, because He lived in a broken world? Did Jesus approve and condone sin because He lived in a broken world?

Did Jesus say: “ah well, we live in a broken world. The person is not responsible, and cannot do a thing about it and therefore (s)he may do whatever (s)he wants.”

No, Jesus brought the Kingdom of God on this earth and called man to repentance and commanded him/her to remove the sin(s) out of his/her life (Mat 9:13, Mar 2:17, Lu 5:32, Jn 5:14, 8:11). Everyone was allowed to come, but they were not allowed to remain the same.

A broken world is no excuse to not do what the Bible has commanded to do. Living in a broken world is no excuse to keep doing those things, that go against God’s Word and His will. Maybe you can use as a broken world as an excuse to fool carnal believers, but you won’t fool God, یسوع, the Holy Spirit and the born again believers, who walk after the Spirit.

The guest without a wedding garment

If you don’t put on the new man, who is created after the image of God, but keep living as the old man, then your final destination will be the same as the wedding guest, who didn’t put on his wedding garment.

This wedding guest had accepted the invitation, but he didn’t put on his wedding garment. He assumed that he could attend in his own (old) clothes and be part of the wedding banquet. What a prideful man, who thought that he could be an exception. He thought, that he had been granted a derogation, as so many believers in this age also think they are special, and are an exception and have been granted a derogation, by thinking that they are allowed to do those things, that go against God’s Word.

But the king showed him no mercy and said: "friend, in what way did you enter here, not having a wedding garment?” The friend was speechless and couldn’t answer his question. Because he knew that no single excuse could justify his deed. Then the king instructed his servants to bind him and to take him away and cast him into the outer darkness, where the weeping and gnashing of teeth is. Because many are called, but only few are chosen (Mat 22:1-14)

Most Christians of this age would say: "what a harsh man, I feel sorry for that guest, that’s not love! What difference does it make, how someone dresses.” But Jesus shall have no mercy. Jesus has given His life! He endured temptation, persecution, mistreatment, the crucifixion, and death, in order to give His garment to man. Yes, He has given everything! But if people are not willing to put off the old garment and put on the new garment of Christ, then they will have no excuse. Jesus shall have no mercy for those, who have chosen to keep their own old garment.
