Un chrétien peut-il être maudit? The Bible says we should not be afraid and that nothing shall harm us because we are protected in Jesus Christ. Cependant, il y a beaucoup de chrétiens, who live in fear and are afraid to be cursed by people, especially those, who move in the occult realm. This fear of curses is mainly developed by all kinds of false doctrines, which are preached about curses. But should Christians be afraid of curses? Should Christians be afraid to be cursed? Can a curse touch Christians? Un chrétien peut-il être maudit par les gens? What does the Bible say about curses and about Christians being cursed?
Balaam couldn’t curse God’s people
Dans l'Ancienne Alliance, God’s people lived under God’s protection. God was with His people and His people were blessed and protected as long as they kept the commandments and precepts of the covenant, entre Dieu et son peuple, and walked after His will. Because God was with His people, the people were victorious and untouchable for the people around them and no curse could touch God’s people
Take for example the story of Balaam. Balaam was approached by Balak, le roi de Moab, to curse God’s people, since God’s people were stronger than Moab.
But God said to Balaam, that he wouldn’t curse the people, since His people were blessed. And so when Balaam spoke the words of God, Balaam blessed the people instead of cursing the people (Nombres 22-24).
In one of the blessings, which God spoke through the mouth of Balaam, Dieu a dit, “blessed is he that blesses thee, and cursed is he that curses thee” (Nombres 24:9).
Therefore God’s people didn’t have to be afraid, because God would protect His people and whosoever would harm His people, would be harmed by God (Lire aussi: ‘The doctrine of Balaam').
Goliath cursed David
And when the Philistine (Goliath) looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countanance. And the Philistine said unto David, am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods ((1 Samuel 17:42-43)
Dans l'Ancienne Alliance, we read about the fight between David and Goliath and how Goliath cursed David. But although Goliath cursed David, the curse couldn’t touch David, and David overcame Goliath.
Jezebel cursed Elijah
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, en disant, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there (1 rois 19:1-3)
Jezebel cursed Elijah, but the curse couldn’t reach Elijah, since God’s hand was upon his life. Although Elijah fled to save his life and requested to die, when he sat under the juniper tree in the wilderness, God had another plan for his life. Après 40 days and nights, God spoke to Elijah and commanded Elijah to return.
The words of Jezebel never came to pass and Elijah didn’t see the death. But Elijah was taken by a chariot of fire and horses of fire and went up by a whirlwind into heaven (2 rois 2:1-12).
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper
Voir, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, dit le Seigneur (Isaïe 54:16-17)
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come (les proverbes 26:2)
If in the Old Covenant a curse couldn’t reach God’s people, who lived in obedience to the will of God, how come that suddenly in the New Covenant, which is a better covenant, a curse can reach God’s people and a Christian can be cursed?
Can a born again Christian be cursed?
C’est pourquoi moi aussi, après avoir entendu parler de ta foi dans le Seigneur Jésus, et l’amour à tous les saints, Ne cessez pas de rendre grâce pour vous, faisant mention de toi dans mes prières; Que le Dieu de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, le Père de gloire, puisse vous donner l’esprit de sagesse et de révélation dans sa connaissance: Les yeux de votre intelligence s’éclairent; afin que vous sachiez quelle est l’espérance de sa vocation, et quelles sont les richesses de la gloire de son héritage dans les saints, Et quelle est l’extrême grandeur de Sa puissance pour nous, qui croyons, selon l’action de sa puissance, Qu’Il a accompli en Christ, quand Il L’a ressuscité d’entre les morts, et l’établit à sa droite dans les lieux célestes, Bien au-dessus de toute principauté, et le pouvoir, et puissance, et la domination, et chaque nom qui est nommé, Pas seulement dans ce monde, mais aussi dans ce qui est à venir: And hath put all things under His feet, et l’a donné pour être le chef de toutes choses à l’église, Qui est Son corps, la plénitude de Celui qui remplit tout en tout(Éphésiens 1:15:23)
Car en Lui habite corporellement toute la plénitude de la Divinité.. Et vous êtes complets en Lui, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossiens 2:9-10)
Qui étant l'éclat de sa gloire, et l'image expresse de sa personne, et soutenant toutes choses par la parole de sa puissance, when He had by himself purged our sins, s'assit à la droite de la Majesté là-haut; Être rendu tellement meilleur que les anges, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they (hébreu 1:3-4)
Jesus Christ is King and is seated on the throne at the right hand of God the Father in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named.
Chaque personne, who is born again in Jesus Christ and belongs to the Church; the Body of Christ is seated in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Blessed One (Marque 14:61).
Ceux, who are seated in Jesus Christ in the heavenly places, are far above all principality, pouvoir, et puissance. They are blessed in Him and live as priests, who are devoted to Jesus Christ and God the Father, and reign with Him as kings.
As long as a person stays in Christ and walks after the Spirit in His love, which means that (s)he stays obedient to His words and His commandements, no curse shall be able to touch the person. Donc, it is impossible to curse Christians, who are born again.
A born again Christian shouldn’t be afraid to be cursed, since the born again believer knows Jesus Christ; le mot, and the Father and knows who (s)he is in Christ and lives by that faith in Him, and every fiery dart is quenched (Lire aussi: 'Qui es-tu vraiment?, ‘Le bouclier de la foi', et ‘The gates of hell shall not prevail against My Church’)
Mais ceux-là, who are unspiritual and walk after the flesh and are world-like don’t know the Word and therefore they don’t know who they are in Christ, but their faith is built upon the words and experiences of people and they are led by these words and experiences. Therefore they shall be afraid for the powers of darkness and consider the words, pouvoir, and works of the devil as mightier and more powerful than the words, pouvoir, and works of God.
God is the Almighty One and the Most High
Forasmuch as there is none like unto Thee, Oh Seigneur; Thou art great, and Thy Name is great in might. Who would not fear Thee, O King of nations? For to Thee doth it appartain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto Thee (Jérémie 10:6-7)
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, et il n'y a personne d'autre; I am God, and there is none like Me (Isaïe 46:9)
Among the gods there is none like unto Thee, Oh Seigneur; neither are there any works like unto Thy works (Psaumes 86:8)
La vérité est, that God is the Highest. There is no greater power and authority and there is no one in this whole universe, who is greater than God.
The power and the might of God is so much stronger than the power and the might of the devil, who is created by God.
The Bible testifies about God’s greatness and His power and that nothing exceeds the power and the might of God. Et ceux, who know the Word and trust the Word and abide in the Word, know this and are not misled nor influenced by all kinds of false doctrines (Lire aussi: ‘L'église occulte', ‘Nouvel âge dans l'église', et ‘Les doctrines des démons tuent l'église')
If you are born again in Jesus Christ, you are blessed and can’t be cursed.
The sons of God are preserved in Christ
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ (2 Thessaloniciens 3:2-5)
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to Whom be glory for ever and ever (2 Timothée 4:18)
Dans l'Ancienne Alliance, we read that as long as God’s people feared God and walked in His will, the people were blessed and untouchable and no one could touch the people.
All the works, which Jesus Christ did on earth in the Old Covenant, Jesus did in the Name of His Father; the authority of His Father, et la puissance du Saint-Esprit. And His authority and power were always stronger than the authority and power of the devil and all the enemies of God. Even death couldn’t hold Jesus, but God’s power exceeded the power of death, whereby Jesus Christ rose from the dead as Victor over death and hell and took the keys of hell (Hadès) et la mort (Hébreux 2:14, Révélation 1:18).
If in the Old Covenant Gods people were protected by God and therefore were untouchable for curses, et Jésus-Christ; le Fils de Dieu, who exposed and destroyed the works of darkness, was protected by God and untouchable, and the disciples, who had been given power over all the power of the enemy and nothing would hurt them, then would those, who nowadays are born again in Christ and have become sons of God and belong to God, be suddenly not protected anymore and can be cursed?
