There are many doctrines about the devil and how the devil accuses Christians and what you can do to stop the devil from accusing you. Through means of prayer formulas and carnal methods and technics, you would be able to stop the accuser. But can the devil accuse you?
Can the devil accuse you?
The devil is the adversary of God and His Kingdom and of all those, who belong to Him. This will always be until the devil will be cast into the eternal lake of fire. But until that moment, there is a spiritual warfare between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness, and the devil still has the ability to tempt, mislead and attack every person, including born-again Christians.
Because although a Christian has become a new creation, atravè rejenerasyon nan Kris la, and is no longer a son of the devil and doesn’t belong to the devil anymore, but has become a son of God and belongs to God, the devil still goes around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour.
The devil always searches for opportunities and openings to enter the lives of people. He tempts and seduces people through the flesh, because that’s his territory.
As long as a person is carnal and remains walking after the flesh and has not laid down the flesh, the person shall live in the power of the devil and shall be accused by the devil, since the person is not right with God.
But a born-again Christian, who is sanctified and justified in Christ shall walk according to his or her new nature after the Spirit in obedience to the truth in the will of God.
Because of the fact that many Christians are not truly born again and/or refuse to lay down the flesh, but want to remain the old man and live like the world in disobedience of the truth of God, many new doctrines arise that deviate from the Word and provide carnal (human) methods and technics, in this case, to ensure that people are no longer being accused and the accuser will be put to silence. Because of these false doctrines the flesh doesn’t have to die and the works of the flesh don’t have to be put off, but the flesh can stay alive without being accused.
Men, verite a se, that if you are born again in Christ and have laid down the flesh and walk after the Spirit, the devil can’t legally accuse you.
The devil can’t accuse you, because you don’t live under his rulership
The devil can’t accuse you, because you don’t live after the flesh under the rulership of the devil in the power (Règ, dominion) of sin and death in darkness. The devil, who is also called satan, has no legal right anymore. Because through regeneration in Christ, the old man, who you were before your repentance, has died in Christ and no longer lives. You have been transferred from the darkness, where the devil is prince and rules, to the Kingdom of God, where Jesus Christ is King and rules (Kolosyen 1:13-14)
If you think that the devil accuses you, then the old man has not laid down yet and your flesh is not crucified and died in Christ, but you still do the works of the flesh and still live in darkness. Because the devil works in the flesh and accuses you in the flesh through the carnal works you do.
But if you have truly died in Christ and you know who you are in Christ, then the devil can’t accuse you anymore.
Just like Jesus said, Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for My Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, sa, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave Me commandment, even so I do (Jan 14:28-31)
The devil couldn’t accuse Jesus, because Jesus walked after the Spirit in the will of God.
Jesus was obedient to God until His death and despite all the temptations of the devil, both directly and indirectly through people, Jesus didn’t give into the temptations of the flesh, but remained loyal to God and didn’t sin (Li tou: ‘Mwen pral ba ou richès mond lan').
Jesus didn’t give into the devil’s temptations and didn’t sin, therefore the devil had nothing in Jesus and couldn’t accuse Jesus. The devil tried to accuse Jesus, but all his attempts failed.
Jesus didn’t have to prove Himself
Jesus knew who He was and knew the Father and didn’t fear the devil. Many times Jesus was falsely accused by the (religious) leaders of Israel, but Jesus wasn’t influenced and didn’t give into the temptations and didn’t have to prove Himself, but Jesus continued doing His work, He came for.
The Father had given Jesus the commandment to preach and bring the Kingdom of God and call the people to repentance and eventually take the place of fallen man and by dying on the cross redeem mankind from the power of the devil, peche, and death and reconcile man back to God.
Jesus went the way of the cross and stayed loyal to His Father until death, because of His great love for His Father. Jesus had yielded Himself fully to the Father and trusted Him.
The accuser has been cast down on earth
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, ak fòs, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time. (Revelasyon 12:10-12)
After the fall of man, the devil was able to come before the throne of God, but after Jesus had gained victory over the devil and death and had taken the keys of hell and death, and Jesus took His place on the throne at the right hand of the Father, the place of the accuser of the brethren was taken from the devil and the devil was cast down on earth. Therefore the devil can’t accuse the brethren before God anymore.
The devil has come down on earth having great wrath and he goes around as a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour.
The devil can’t accuse the new man, who walks after the Spirit
Pou sa lalwa pa t 'kapab fè, paske li te fèb nan kò a, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, ak pou peche, kondane peche nan kò a: Konsa, jistis lalwa a ka akonpli nan nou, ki pa mache dèyè kò a, men apre Lespri Bondye a (Women 8:1-4)
By faith and regeneration in Christ, ou vin tounen yon nouvo kreyasyon, yon nonm nouvo. The new man is redeemed from the power of the devil and sin and death by the blood of Jesus Christ.
The new man has laid down the flesh and walks no longer after the will and the lusts and desires of the flesh in the bondage of sin and death under the rulership of the devil in darkness, but the new man walks after the will of the Spirit in the bondage of righteousness and life in the light.
The new man walks after the Spirit and therefore there is no condemnation anymore and the devil has no legal right to accuse you. The devil can try and can accuse you in your mind and through the people around you, but if you know who you are in Christ and as long as you walk after the Spirit in obedience to the Word in the will of God, then the devil has no right and the devil can’t lawfully accuse you.
Menm jan ak Jezi, ou pral di, the prince of the world came but has nothing in me. Because someone, who is dead (the old man who died in Christ) can’t be accused.
