Many people, including Christians, practice martial arts without knowing the danger of martial arts. They practice martial arts for various reasons, like health benefits, physical exercise, self-defense, self-confidence, self-discipline, self-control, self-esteem, behavioral problems, police and military purposes, spiritual development, etc. But is martial arts good for you and harmless and is it safe to practice martial arts, or is martial arts dangerous and bad for you? What does the Bible say about martial arts? Should Christians practice martial arts or is martial arts demonic? What is the spiritual danger of martial arts that many people are not aware of?
What is the history of martial arts?
Martial arts derives from the Latin words: arts of Mars (the Roman god of war). Although the oldest form of martial arts goes all the way back to Egypt, 3400 BC. Contemporary martial arts is associated with Eastern combat sports, like karate, judo, taekwondo, (Shaolin) kung-fu, (kick)boxing, Thai-boxing, Jiu-jitsu, Aikido, Savate, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, (sumo) wrestling, self-defense, Hapkido, Gungdo, Tang-soo-do, Taekkyeon, wrestling, Shuai Jiao, Wushu, Sambo etc.
When we go back to the roots of Eastern combat sports, we see that Eastern combat sports derived from Hinduism, (Zen) Buddhism, Taoism (like Judo), Confucianism, and Shinto.
The martial arts and its methods and techniques are developed through meditation, through yoga (Read also: What is the danger of yoga?).
Therefore, martial arts is connected to the occult realm of spirituality and religion (Hinduism, (Zen) Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Shinto).
Martial arts can’t be disconnected from the occult realm, because it originates from the occult realm.
Buddhist monks had a great impact on the development of martial arts. The temples and monks were often robbed and they couldn’t use weapons to protect themselves. Because of that, the monks looked for another way to defend themselves.
During the practice of meditation and channeling with spiritual forces and beings, that we know as demons, these evil spirits gave them wisdom and insights. They gave them wisdom and insights, by showing them bodily combat technics and positions. A well-known manuscript is the Shaolin order.
The monks applied and practiced these combat technics and received power and strength from these evil spirits, so that they could defend themselves and protect the temples.
Combat knowledge through meditation and channeling with spirits
Many great martial artists gained combat knowledge through meditation and channeling with spirits (demons).
Meditation, including breathing exercises, still plays a major role in practicing martial arts. (Read also: ‘The danger of meditation‘).
For example, when you look at Japanese martial arts, meditation and emptying your mind are key to promoting energy flow (qi) and peace through your body (like Aikido).
In Korean martial arts, like Taekwondo, meditation and breathing exercises are used to create inner peace.
In Chinese martial arts, meditation and breathing exercises are also key. Think about qigong or kung-fu (the achievement or success of man).
What is Qigong?
Qigong is a Chinese kinematics and means energy (qi) cultivation (gong). Qigong is a system that is developed to increase the flow of the body’s life energy (qi or chi), through posture, exercises, breathing technics, and meditation.
According to Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, qigong provides access to the higher spiritual realms of the consciousness (entering the spiritual realm out of your soul). So that the true nature of the person awakens and the human potential is developed. (Read also: What are the two ways to enter the spiritual realm?).
Between 1940-1950 martial arts came to the West. The entertainment industry had a major influence on martial arts.
During the ’70s and ’80s, martial arts became extremely popular through many karate and kung-fu movies. Many people, especially young people and children were motivated to practice martial arts and searched for martial arts schools and dojos.
What is the source of martial arts?
Martial arts derive from Hinduism, (Zen) Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Shinto. Through meditation and channeling with evil spirits, these evil spirits gave wisdom; bodily postures, and physical combat techniques. Therefore martial arts is connected to evil spirits and the occult. The source of martial arts is the kingdom of darkness.
Since martial arts is connected with the kingdom of darkness and originate from the wisdom of devils, you can’t disconnect the physical exercises and combat technics from the spiritual aspect of martial arts. (Read also: Can you separate the spiritual from Eastern philosophies and practices?).
As soon as you participate in martial arts, you enter the territory of the devil and open yourself for demonic spirits. Because every combat technique and position is linked to demonic spirits. Without the influence of demonic spirits, you can’t get practice martial arts.
The kingdom of darkness and demonic spirits are the source of martial arts.
The higher the level of a martial artist, the greater demonic power
The higher the rank and level of a martial artist, the greater demonic power the person possess. Actually, you could say, that the colors of the belts resemble in the natural the spiritual level of demonic power. The darker the color, the higher the level, the greater the demonic power.
It’s actually the same as yoga. The more yoga poses you do, the more chakras you open up. And slowly you give yourself to the devil and his demons and be controlled by them.
It’s not surprising at all, that in most combat sports you start with a white belt and end up with a black belt. In some combat sports, you can even develop yourself further after the black belt. The belt represents the spiritual state of a person.
The sensei; the grandmaster (teacher) is appointed as representative of the dragon and wears a black belt. His main purpose is to teach, train and equip as many people as possible in martial arts. The sensei disciples them en draws them into the kingdom of darkness. Without knowing the danger of martial arts, the pupils (the disciples of the sensei) open themselves to demonic powers that enter their lives.
As the disciple of the sensei develops and grows, the more ‘special’ powers (occult powers) the disciple experiences.
The disciple shall experience extra strength and power in certain parts of the body. For example, the disciple is able to make him/herself heavier, cut stones, or to manipulate and bewitch the opponent, by taking spiritual authority over the other person, and so on.
What does Dojo mean?
When you look at the name of the places, where martial arts is taught and practiced, you can conclude that they have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God, but that they represent the kingdom of darkness. Martial arts is taught and practiced in a Dojo. What does Dojo mean? Dojo means the place of the way.
A dojo used to be an addition to the temples. Therefore in most dojos, you may not enter with shoes. Because a dojo is connected with a holy place, a temple. Think about Moses. Moses also had to take off his shoes, before he entered the holy ground.
In many traditional dojos, there are even Japanese cleansing rituals at the beginning and at the end of each training session. This is called Sojo and derives from the Zen and Shinto philosophy.
What does the Bible say about martial arts and should Christians practice martial arts?
What does the Bible say about martial arts and should a Christian practice martial arts? The Bible says that a child of God should abstain from pagan practices. Although the world has removed the spiritual aspect of martial arts and promoted and presented martial arts as a beneficial practice for your physical and mental health, martial arts originate from paganism and has its roots in the kingdom of darkness.
As a born again Christian, you have the Holy Spirit abiding in you and discern the spirits. You will be able to discern the spiritual realm and the two kingdoms; the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil (darkness). You shall discern, what kind of spirits are behind the natural practice of martial arts and see the spiritual danger of martial arts.
Therefore a born again Christian shall never engage in martial arts, because a born again Christian knows the spiritual danger of martial arts.
Even if the world says, that martial arts is good for your health, your body and mind, and for your self-development or for self-defense.
A born again Christian knows better and shall not be tempted, but shall discern the lies of the world.
A Christian, who reads and studies the Bible knows the truth and the Kingdom of God. Therefore a Christian shall never enter the territory of darkness or the domain of the devil. A Christian shall never engage with demonic spirits and darkness, but shall expose the works of darkness instead.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11)
Does Christian martial arts exist?
There are martial artists and martial arts actors, who have become Christians but haven’t laid down their old life and practices. They are still carnal and don’t discern the spiritual danger of martial arts. Therefore, they still practice and teach martial arts or still act in martial arts movies. Many keep practicing martial arts because it’s their profession. Together with other carnal Christians, who were refuse to lay down the practice of martial arts, they have brought the martial arts into the church and Christianized martial arts. (Read also: The Christian sauce)
They provide martial arts performances and demonstrations, to get people acquainted with the Christian faith and to win people for Jesus Christ.
But what has martial arts in common with the Christian faith? What has Jesus in common with demons?
How can you represent the Kingdom of God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and convince people of their sins, and lead them to Jesus Christ, through the occult practice of martial and doctrines of devils that derive from the kingdom of darkness?
In some carnal churches, they even give self-defense lessons, karate lessons or mixed martial arts (MMA)
Since these churches are carnal and have the spirit of the world, they use the same lie as the world, to promote martial arts for mental and physical health benefits. They say it’s good for a Christian, because you have to take care of your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. But here we have another twisted truth, which is not the truth at all. Because the Bible says something else.
Carnal churches don’t see the spiritual danger of martial arts and defile the church
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (2 Corinthians 6:16-18)
These Bible verses clearly contradict their sayings. Despite the Scriptures, many churches remain carnal instead of becoming spiritual. They focus on the flesh and promote the works of the flesh and are ignorant of the spiritual danger of martial arts and allow martial arts into the church and defile the church.
The Holy Spirit can’t have communion with demonic spirits
The truth is, as soon as you practice combat techniques that derive from demonic spirits, you obey their doctrine and bow to these demonic spirits and these demonic spirits enter your life. Eventually, the Holy Spirit will leave you. Because the Holy Spirit can’t have communion with darkness (the devil, demons, sin and death).
The Bible is clear and says, that you shouldn’t pay much attention to bodily exercise. Because the body profits little. Instead, you should pay attention to godliness:
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come (1 Timothy 4:8)
It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life (John 6:63)
Martial arts has nothing to do with God, the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is only one Master and that’s Jesus Christ. You are Jesus’ disciple and you should only bow for Jesus and no one else.
Martial arts has everything to do with the devil and his kingdom. The devil is the author of martial arts, and he will always remain the author.
What is the danger of church leaders, who practice martial arts?
There are even church leaders, who practice martial arts and preach on Sundays. Because they practice martial arts, these demonic spirits of martial arts that reside in their lives, will be transferred upon the lives of the believers.
Remember that the church is the assembly of believers, who are united together in one (spiritual) body.
When you go to church and listen to a preacher, have communion, or let a church leader, who practices martial arts lay hands on you, these demonic spirits of darkness in the person’s life will enter your life as well.
During church services, manifestations occur, that believers consider as manifestations coming from the Holy Spirit. But in reality, they are demonic manifestations coming from the devil.
When a spiritual leader is not willing to give up his or her old life, but stays carnal and walks after the flesh, instead of the Spirit, then the demonic powers in the person’s life will also enter into the lives of the believers of the congregation and manifest themselves.
The believers become lukewarm, experience spiritual resistance during prayer and/or studying the Bible, indifference towards sins, worldliness, pride, irritation, aggressiveness, angriness, violence, an increase of sexual uncleanness, more love for the things of the world, than the things of the Kingdom of God, tiredness, restless, insomnia, depression, suicidal thoughts, etc.
All of this happens, because a preacher, elder, or any other church leader still loves the world and refuses to lay down his/her old life. Therefore the church leader remains carnal and focuses on the carnal things of life instead of the spiritual.
Through a lack of spiritual knowledge and ignorance of the spiritual danger of martial arts, many people fall and become a victim of the dragon; the devil, who goes around seeking whom he can devour.
The domain of the dragon
Martial arts belongs to the domain of the dragon and not to the domain of Jesus Christ. Look at the dojos or gyms, where martial arts is taught, and look at what kind of images and symbols are hanging on the walls.
In most dojos you see dragon images and well-known martial artists and/or philosophers, who are worshipped as gods by the pupils. Because people, especially children, who want to learn martial arts, want to become like their master; sensei and consider the sensei their idols or heroes.
Many martial arts movies include the name of the dragon. And that’s exactly, what martial arts represents: the domain of the dragon.
In the Bible, we also read about the dragon, which refers to the devil. Therefore the domain of the dragon is the domain of the devil.
When you know the Bible, you know the truth about the devil and his mission and should be aware of the spiritual danger of martial arts.
The mission of the devil is to steal, kill, and destroy as many people as possible. The devil tempts and seduces people with his deceptive lies, and as soon as he controls the person, he steals and destroys the person.
Although it may seem innocent, hopeful, and promising in the natural realm, the reality is, that they are lies of the devil, that bring forth total destruction in the lives of people.
You reap, what you sow
Many Christians practice yoga and martial arts (that both derive from Hinduism and Buddhism). Because of that, demonic spirits have not only entered and defiled their lives, but also entered and defiled the church.
We see increase of selfishness and lawlessness in the church. The ‘self’ has become the center of attention in many churches. Everything revolves around the prosperity and material enrichment of carnal people.
We also see an indifference towards sins, passivity for the Kingdom of God, an increase in fame, pride, sexual uncleanness, etc.
This is not surprising, because the Bible says, that you will reap what you sow. Therefore if you sow in the flesh, you will reap the fruit of the flesh (Read also: What you sow, you will reap).
The church should be separated from the world
Born again Christian are sons of God (this applies to both males and females) and have been transferred from the darkness into the Kingdom of God, where Jesus Christ is King. They are separated from the world. Therefore born again Christians shouldn’t love the world, walk like the world and engage themselves with the things of this world, but separate themselves from it.
The world opposes the Bible; the Word of God and shall never go together. The world says to seek yourself, but the Bible instructs us, to seek God instead of yourself and to look out for others, instead of only yourself.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth (1 Corinthians 10:24).
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others (Philippians 4:1-4)
The believers and disciples of Jesus Christ shouldn’t focus on the things, which are on this earth but focus upon the things, which are above, where Christ is seated.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:1-3)
The Bible commands to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh
The Bible instructs us to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. This means, that we shouldn’t pay attention to the flesh and obey its will. But we should pay attention to the Word and the Spirit and obey the will of God.
A healthy lifestyle and sports are tactics that the devil uses to seduce many Christians and draw them to his domain.
Many carnal Christians don’t see the spiritual danger of martial arts and go to gyms or dojos and practice kickboxing, karate, judo, qigong, or some other kind of martial arts, because it is supposed to be beneficial for your health; body, mind, (mental) balance, strength, etc. But this is one big lie!
As soon as you engage in one of these combat sports, you focuses on your body; your flesh, which you have laid down and buried when you were baptized in Christ (Read also: What is baptism?).
As mentioned before, one of the first traits, that will become visible in your life, will be irritation, angriness, aggressiveness, intolerance, pride, megalomania, and sexual uncleanness.
Is judo dangerous for children?
There are many schools that promote judo for children, because according to them, judo has mental and physical benefits for children. They say judo is safe for children and encourage children, who are shy, timid, unmanageable or autistic to take judo classes. This way, children learn to stand up for themselves, defend themselves, improve their confidence, and self-esteem, and develop discipline and respect.
Because many Christian parents have a spiritual lack of knowledge and are not aware of the spiritual danger of martial arts, they don’t see the danger of judo.
They believe the words of the teachers and consider judo safe for children and beneficial. And so they encourage their children to practice judo.
But do you know what judo means? Did you know, that judo means soft way? Did you know that judo originates from Japan, from Taoism, which means the way of life?
When children practice judo, the child engage in Taoism and walk in another way of life instead of the Way of life of Jesus Christ.
Every judo technique and move originates and is connected to Taoism; the doctrine of evil demonic spirits. You can’t disconnect judo from Taoism. (Read also: Can you separate the spiritual from Eastern philosophies and practices?).
When children get involved in judo, demonic spirits enter and controle their minds and lives. They will harass them, cause doubt, depression, angriness, etc.
self-defense classes on secondary schools
There are many secondary schools that provide self-defense classes during gym hours. The world says that self-defense is good for young adults, because they learn to defend themselves. But if that’s the case, then why do so many kidnappings, rapes, and crimes take place?
When someone approaches you with a weapon, do you think that it will be time to show your self-defense moves?
Besides that, the Bible nowhere instructs us nor promotes us, to defend ourselves. Look at Jesus’ life, where did Jesus defend Himself? Or with whom did Jesus go into battle, when Jesus was banned from the synagogue or when Jesus was captured?
Jesus didn’t even resist when He was taken captive. When Peter cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest, Jesus didn’t say: “Well done Peter, that’s really good of you!” No! Jesus healed the ear of the servant and did well.
God wants to take care of His children and protect them. God is our Protector and no one else. But if you take self-defense classes, first of all, you show through your deeds that you don’t trust God but you rely on your own ability. Secondly, you show that you expect to be attacked by someone. The ‘what if’ question should not be part of the lives of Christian.s
The remainders of the former life are taken into the church
The problem is, that in today’s world, many Christians don’t lay down their old life and don’t put off the old man. They take the remainder of their (occult) former life into the church. Therefore the church is defiled by occult powers and has become an occult church.
Unfortunately, there are not many church leaders, who are able to discern these evil demonic spirits and remove them from the church, before they affect the lives of other church members.
The spirit of Hinduism, Buddhism, and new age entered many churches, and operate among Christians.
It is all based on feelings. (Read also: The Holy Spirit vs the new age spirit, which spirit dwells in you?‘).
Look at church services, and the music and the lyrics. By using melodies and the repetition of words, people get in some kind of trance.
We see a manipulation of the mind and a lot of emotional manifestations. The experience of the carnal believers has become the center of the church service.
But when you decide to follow Jesus, it means that you have to give up your own life and follow Jesus; the Word.
Are you willing to give up your life for Jesus Christ?
If you decide to follow Jesus and become born again in Christ, you will be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. This means, that you shall no longer do, and engage yourself with, the works of the kingdom of darkness but you shall listen to God. You shall live according to His Word and His commandments.
There are still many Christians, who live in the lies of the devil.
They live in the power of the devil and are not willing to give up their old carnal life, because they still love the world and the things of the world.
They think they are free, while in reality, they are still slaves of the devil and live in darkness in sin.
The magicians gave up magical arts for Christ
When we look at the magicians, who practiced magical arts, in the book of Acts, we read that they knew very well, what it meant to follow Jesus Christ. They knew that it meant, to give up their old life with their occult practices. But they loved the Truth and believed in Jesus Christ and decided to follow Jesus, which meant that they had to give up their profession and income for Jesus Christ.
They not only confessed Jesus as their Lord, but they also acted according to their confessions. They burned their books, from which they gained all their worldly knowledge and magician power.
And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:18-20)
If you practice martial arts, are you willing to give up martial arts for Jesus? Or do you love martial arts and its power and the respect you get, more than you love Jesus?
Do you believe and use the lies of the devil to Christianize martial arts and make martial arts approved for Christians to practice? Or do really give up your life for Jesus Christ and lay down your old life, including martial arts, and take the Bible and follow Him, just like the occult practitioners, who repented and turned away from their old practices and burned their books for Jesus and followed Him.
