She hath sent forth her maidens: she cries upon the highest places of the city, Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wants understanding, she saith to him, Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled (Proverbs 9:3-5)
Those who found Jesus Christ have found wisdom. All wisdom is in Jesus Christ; He is wisdom and He has sent His maidens; His disciples to preach wisdom; the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God to the unwise; the ungodly.
Jesus gave His life for the world; He gave His body (bread) and His blood (wine). He was scourged at the whipping post and crucified. Jesus died at the cross on Calgary, but He didn’t stay dead. After three days, He was raised from the dead. Jesus is alive! By His blood, He brought redemption and reconciled man back to God.
Reconciled with God the Father
Only through faith in Him; in His work, in His blood and through regeneration, it is possible to be reconciled with God the Father.
For every unwise man; every sinner there is hope and salvation. Jesus invites everyone to become a partaker at His table and His supper. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you have done, or which nationality you have. Everyone is invited and may become a partaker of His supper.
Eat of my bread and drink of my wine
Jesus says: “Eat of my bread, and drink of my wine.” The only thing you have to do is to believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, and believe in His blood, in His death and resurrection.
When you accept Him as your Saviour and make Him Lord over your life, and become born again in the spirit, then you will become a son of God.
You will become a partaker of His supper, and eat His bread, which symbolizes the redemption of your body and drink His wine, which symbolizes the redemption of your soul.
