Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverbs 4:7)
The most important thing in a person’s life is wisdom. Yes, wisdom is the principal thing. But wisdom is not the only thing that is important. Because if you want to walk in wisdom, you have to get understanding too. If you want to walk in wisdom and understanding, then you should get wisdom and get understanding first. Because how else can you walk in wisdom and understanding, if you don’t have and don’t get wisdom and understanding.
Two kinds of wisdom
Everyone in this world, wants to be wise and wants to walk in wisdom. However, since there are two spiritual kingdoms operating in this world, there are also two kinds of wisdom:
- The wisdom of God
- The wisdom of the world
It is up to every person, in which wisdom (s)he wants to walk in. The wisdom of God is not the same as the wisdom of this world.
Because the Word says, that the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God, and the wisdom of God is foolishness to the world. Because of that, the world doesn’t know us, and think we are fools.
Everyone needs to make a choice; for the world or for Jesus; the Word. It is one or the other. The two cannot go together.
If you don’t choose to follow Jesus and become born again, so that, you enter the Kingdom of God and live in this Kingdom, then you automatically will follow the world and live in the kingdom of the world; the kingdom of darkness.
How to get wisdom?
If you choose to walk in the wisdom of God, then you can find His wisdom, in the Word of God; the Bible. When you open the Bible, and begin to read, study and meditate upon His Word, you shall find true wisdom and understanding. There is no other way to get wisdom. All the wisdom that a person needs is in Jesus Christ; the Word.
When you take the words and the commandments of God, of Jesus, you will get wisdom and understanding, and when you put these into practice, then you shall walk in wisdom and understanding. You shall be a doer of the Word, and walk like Jesus walked upon this earth.
