¿Qué es el Viernes Santo??

Todos los años, Good Friday is remembered by Christians. But what is the meaning of Good Friday? ¿Qué pasó el Viernes Santo?? What does the Bible say about Good Friday? Why is Good Friday such an important day to Christians and humanity?

¿Qué pasó el Viernes Santo??

On Good Friday, we remember the Crucifixión de JesucristoWe remember on Good Friday, that Jesus died for humanity and took all the sins, Iniquidades, enfermedad, and diseases upon Him. Jesus carried all sins and iniquities and took the penalty for sin, que es la muerte, sobre si mismo.

Jesús fue hecho pecado

Jesus took all the sins of the world upon Himself, para que todos, ¿Quién creería en él?, would be redeemed by His blood, from sin and death, and be reunited with the Father.

All the redeemed of the Lord are saved and will receive eternal life.

Cuando crees en Jesucristo, eres redeemed from your sinful state and sinful nature

His blood redeemed you from the authority of the devil and brought you into the Kingdom of God. Tú ya no soy un pecador, but you have become a saint.

When you become a saint, Significa, that you should also walk like a saint and walk in holiness and righteousness. Así como Jesús caminó en santidad y justicia., because He has become your new Owner.

Before you accepted Jesus Christ, as your Saviour and Lord, you walked according to the will of the devil (your previous owner).

Pero ahora, you ought to walk according to the will of Jesus (your new Owner). You can find His will in His Word. The Word is Jesus, and through His Word, He will reveal and share His will with you.

The whipping post

And He took bread, y dio gracias, y frenarlo, and gave unto them, dicho, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, dicho, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you (lucas 22:19-20)

Jesus took the bread, which symbolizes His body in the visible world. Every time you take the bread and eat the bread, you remember His body, which was given for you. You remember the stripes, He took upon Himself, on the whipping post, on Good Friday. You remember that by His stripes you were healed. Sí, all sickness and disease He took upon Him on the whipping post.

Pero él fue herido por nuestras transgresiones., Fue molido por nuestras iniquidades: el castigo de nuestra paz fue sobre él; y por sus llagas somos sanados (Isaías 53:5)

By whose stripes you were healed (1 Pedro 2:24)

The finished work at Calvary

After the whipping post, Jesus continued His way to Calvary; the place, where He would die, for all humanity. Sí, He would be sacrificed for all humanity.

On Good Friday, Jesus was pierced at the cross and carried all the iniquities and sins of mankind. Jesus took all the sins, Iniquidades, and eventually death upon Himself. So that everyone, who believes in Him would receive redemption, Vida eterna, a life reunited with the Father. Todos, who is redeemed by the blood of Jesus, will not face death.

El anciano es crucificado en Cristo.

su sangre (His life) was shed at the cross. The wine you take symbolizes His blood (His life) that washed away all your sins and iniquities and redeemed you from sin nature.

Jesus had one purpose, and that was to do the voluntad de su padre. Él sabía, how much God loves people.

Sí, Jesus knew how much God loves , and because He saw that great love of His Father for you, He gave His life for you. So that you will be reunited with your Creator, your Father in Heaven.

Don’t ever forget His great sacrifice. Never forget the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ. But remember daily, what He has done for you and what He has given you.

Todos los días, you should take up your cross and follow Jesus, which means that you act and live according to His will, and not your own will anymore. If you walk in His will, you will please Him, and exalt Him in everything you do.
