Jesus wasn’t ashamed

Jesus wasn’t ashamed of His Father, because Jesus loved His Father with all His heart, ruh, mind, and strength. Although Jesus served man, isa’ life stood not in the service of man and to please them, but Jesus’ life stood in the service of His Father and to please and glorify the Father. The majority of the (religious) leaders of the people tried their best to eliminate Jesus, by silencing Jesus and by trying to kill Him. But despite all the temptations, resistance, zulüm, and rejections Jesus continued with His mission and didn’t give up. Jesus didn’t allow the devil and the people to influence and intimidate Him. Jesus didn’t compromise in order to please the people and the leaders of the people nor did He try to win them for Himself. But Jesus spoke the truth of God, which was often hard to hear for the carnal people. Because His words called them to repentance and to live a holy life. Jesus wasn’t ashamed of His Father and He wasn’t ashamed of the people. Not even when He was put to shame during the interrogation, at the whipping post, and at the cross. isa loved His Father and the people so much, that His love withstood and conquered everything.

Jesus wasn’t ashamed of God

I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was. I have manifested Thy name unto the men which Thou gavest me out of the world: Thine they were, and Thou gavest them Me; and they have kept Thy word (John 17:4-6)

For I have given unto them the words which Thou gavest Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from Thee, and they have believed that Thou didst send Me (John 17:8)

I have given them Thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world (John 17:14)

Jesus spoke the words of God and gave His words to His disciples and to the Jewish people, who were gathered in the synagogue and the temple.

Jesus taught them daily in the Word in the temple.

Jesus revealed God the Father and His Kingdom to the people, by His doctrine and His works.

Jesus wasn’t ashamed of His Father and His words. He didn’t hide and didn’t teach the Jewish people in secret, but everything He did, He did openly.

Jesus knew, that His obedience and His loyalty to the Father, would cause resistance among the people. Because although Jesus came into the world, Jesus didn’t belong to the world.

His Kingdom was another kingdom than the kingdom of the world. The Ruler of His Kingdom was another ruler, then the kingdom of the world. This became visible in Jesus’ life. Not only His words, but also His works testified, that the Father had sent Him and that He was the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Through His obedience to the Father and the words He spoke, which the Father had given Him, Jesus was the express image of the Father (Hebrew 1:3)

During His walk on earth, Jesus was never ashamed of His Father, nor was Jesus ashamed of His words.

But Jesus went out in His Name and represented His Father and His Kingdom and walked in obedience to Him and He did what His Father had commanded Him to speak and do.

Jesus knew that He would be put to shame

The Lord God hath opened Mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave My back to the smiters, and My cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not My face from shame and spitting. For the Lord God will help Me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set m=My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed (Isaiah 50:5-7)

Jesus knew what was ahead of Him and that He would be put to shame. But Jesus didn’t run away and didn’t hide His face, but He went through it, together with God.

Jesus held His eyes upon God the Father and He knew that He would help Him and that the mocking, defamation and shame, would only be temporary.

Jesus became naked because of the shame of people

From the moment that man sinned and the devil became the ruler of man and death entered, man became naked. Gerçek yüzünden, that Jesus had to fully identify Himself with man, Jesus also became naked.

Jesus became spiritually and physically naked, when He was chastised and bore the stripes in His body for the iniquities of man, and when He was crucified and bore the sin of man in His body.

At both moments, they put off His clothes and Jesus carried the iniquities and the sin of fallen man in His body (Et). Jesus became naked and bore the shame of mankind in His body and was put to shame.

Although Jesus was mocked and was put to shame, Jesus wasn’t ashamed of man.

Jesus wasn’t ashamed of you, when He took your place at the whipping post and was chastised and mocked. Jesus wasn’t ashamed of you, when He took your place at the cross and was mocked and took the punishment of sin, which is death, Kendi üzerine. Jesus wasn’t ashamed, but He did everything out of love for you.

The old man is ashamed of Jesus

Jesus was not only left by His people, but also by His own disciples. There was no one, who stayed with Him, not even Peter, who was led by his emotions and feelings and promised Jesus, that although the others would leave Him, he would never leave Jesus.

But Jesus knew the yaşlı adam and therefore Jesus said, that Peter would also leave Him and would deny Him thrice before the cock crowed twice (Matta 26:31-35, İşaret 14:27-31, Luka 22:31-34)

One of them lied; Jesus or Peter. Since they both prophesied something else. Jesus prophesied by the Spirit and Peter prophesied by the flesh.

But the words of Jesus became reality when the cock crowed twice and Peter had İsa'yı reddetti thrice out of fear for people. Jesus had spoken the truth and Peter lied.

The new man is not ashamed of Jesus

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2)

When Peter had become a new creation and had received the power, that Jesus had promised, by the coming and dwelling of the Holy Spirit, Peter wasn’t ashamed of Jesus; His Lord and His Master.

Peter boldly arose and wasn’t ashamed anymore of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but He spoke boldly despite the mockings and all the threats, zulüm, imprisonment and chastisement.

chosen generation, royal priesthoodPeter had become a Yeni yaratılış and a son of God. He didn’t belong to the world anymore, but he reproved the world of her sin and called the world to repentance, just like His Redeemer, His Lord, and His Master Jesus Christ.

Just like the eyes of Jesus were focussed upon His Father, the Author, Who led Him by His words during His walk on earth and wasn’t influenced and intimidated by the people, the persecution, mocking and the shame, but endured the cross for the joy, that was laid in front of Him, Peter also had his eyes focussed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of his faith.

Peter was just like Jesus not influenced and intimidated by the people, the persecution, mocking, shame, but took up his cross ve died to his flesh and followed Jesus, for the joy, which laid in front of him.

Although there was a moment in Peter’s life, that he was intimidated by the Jews and showed hypocritical behavior. But when Paul confronted him openly, he repented and continued to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ (Galatyalılar 2:11-14).

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council (Sanhedrin), rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ (Elçilerin İşleri 5:40-42)

Just like Peter, the other apostles of Jesus Christ, who had become a new creation in Him represented also the Kingdom of God and boldly preached the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romalılar 1:16)

When Paul was the old creation, Paul persecuted the Church of Jesus Christ. Until Paul met Jesus; the Son of the living God, personally and Pişman and became a new creation through regeneration.

O andan itibaren, Paul didn’t persecute the Church anymore, but Paul became part of the Church; the Body of Christ and a representative of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.

Paul was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, because Paul knew that this gospel was the power of God unto salvation.

There is no other message, no other way and there are no other methods or technics for the salvation of man.

There is only one way and that is through Jesus Christ, His blood, and by becoming born again in Him. That was the message, which Paul preached to the people, without adjusting the words of God and without being ashamed of Jesus Christ.

Jesus wasn’t ashamed to call us brethren

For it became Him, for Whom are all things, and by Whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare Thy name unto My brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee. And again, I will put My trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given Me (Hebrews 2:10-13)

Herkes, who is born again in Jesus Christ has become one with Him. As the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One, the born again believer is also one with the Father, the Son, ve Kutsal Ruh.

If you are born again, you have been baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and therefore you have identified yourself with Them and have the same identity. Because you are born of God; of His Seed.

This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, kelime, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one (1 John 5:6-8)

İsa Mesih'te sünnetThere are three in heaven; the Father, the Son, ve Kutsal Ruh, and there are three on the earth; the Spirit, the water, and blood. This is the new man, who has been connected with the Father and the Son by the Holy Spirit.

The new man lives in Them and They live in the new man (John 17:9-11; 20-24).

Jesus isn’t ashamed to call the new man His brother. Ama ne yazık ki, there are many Christians, who call Jesus their Friend and Brother, but are ashamed of Jesus Christ.

They stay silent about Jesus Christ in the presence of others, especially in the presence of unbelievers. And when they are asked about a specific thing or subject, of which they know that the world thinks differently than what the Word of God says, then they just adjust and change the words of God.

Instead of saying: “It is written…..” And confess the words of God and Jesus to the people, they keep their mouths shut or give them their own opinion about the matter, which is created by their flesh (their feelings, emotions, carnal minds, etc.) and the world. And so they deny Jesus Christ and reject Him, without being conscious of it.

Apparently, Peter wasn’t aware of the fact, that he denied Jesus Christ. Because if he would be aware of it, then maybe he would have repented after the first time. But when the second opportunity presented itself, to confess Jesus as Lord or to deny Jesus, Peter chose again to deny Jesus. Until after the third time the rooster crowd.

If Jesus didn’t mention the crowing of the rooster, maybe Peter wasn’t conscious of the fact that he had denied Jesus Christ by his words. But because Jesus mentioned the crowing of the rooster, Peter remembered the words of Jesus and Peter became aware of the fact that he had denied his God; his Lord, and his Master and had left Him.

Therefore God has revealed everything in His Word for His sons about the things to come.

Those, who are ignorant and are not able to discern the time, in which we live and don’t discern good from evil, but allow and approve everything, are still babies, who don’t know the Word.

When you are ashamed of Jesus and His words, Jesus shall be ashamed of you

Whosoever, therefore, shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels (İşaret 8:38, Luka 9:26)

When you are ashamed of Jesus and His words, Jesus shall be ashamed of you when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

İsa'yı takip etmek size her şeye mal olacakIf you come with all kinds of excuses to justify your behavior, Jesus will have no compassion and show no mercy for you and your excuses.

Because Jesus has foretold everything and has prepared the believers for the resistance, the persecution, the rejection, the hate of the world, and so on.

If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it (Luka 9:23-24)

Jesus has said, that if you make a choice for Him and accept His salvation, then it will cost you everything. He has said, that if you decide to follow Him it means you have to deny yourself, because it’s impossible that two lords reign in someone’s life.

It means, to daily take up your cross, because the words of God and His will are contrary to the words of the world and the will of the flesh.

Look unto Jesus, the Author, and Finisher of our faith

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2)

Jesus wants your eyes to be focused upon Him and that you are led by the Word. He doesn’t want you to keep your eyes on the people, circumstances, problems, the future, fears, the world, and so on. He doesn’t want you to be led by them.

But Jesus wants you to look at Him and stay in Him, so that you shall abide in His peace and keep His peace. Böylece, despite the people, situations, and surroundings, you experience the peace and the joy of Jesus Christ and shall remain in His peace and joy.

If you keep your eyes on Jesus and stay loyal to Him and do what He has commanded you to do, then you shall stay in Him and confess Him and His words to the people.

You shall not be ashamed of Jesus Christ and His words and you shall not be led by the eyes and opinion of people, but you shall look at Jesus Christ and take a stand in Him and confess His words to the people and exalt Jesus and the Father, instead of denying His words to the people through your words and deeds and put Jesus to an open shame.
