In Proverbs 7:26, we read the warning of the Word for the strange woman. The Word warns us to watch out for the strange woman! It may seem that the strange woman wants the best for you, but that’s a lie from the pit of hell. With her fair speech, and flattering lips the strange woman tries to seduce you and lead you into temptation. The strange woman uses all her charms, so that you will give into her temptations and sin. But when you give in, you will be lost. Because as the Word says, she has cast down many wounded, yes, many strong men have been slain by her. So many Christians have succumbed to the power of the world. They were not able to stand but they have been leaving the Word for the present world.
Leaving the Word for the present world
For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her(Pwovèb 7:26)
The world has great power, even in the lives of many Christians. Every day you have to cope with temptations. Every day, the devil and his minions (demons) will try to tempt you, so that they can catch you in their snares.
They will do everything they can, to keep you away from the Word. That’s because the Word exposes their lies and their tactics and the devil and his minion don’t want you to find out.
They want you to stay ignorant, so that you won’t become a danger to the kingdom of darkness.
They will do everything they can, to keep you living in sin, so that they will have power over your life and keep you living in darkness in the kingdom of darkness.
The only way to make sure that you won’t fall into the snares of the devil and become his prisoner is to open the Bible and spend time in the Word and in prayer.
Study the Word of God and meditate on the Word, so that your mind will be renewed ak Pawòl Bondye a, and you remove all the strongholds of the enemy; all those lies that he has built in your mind for all those years (Li tou: ‘Gwo fò yo nan lespri moun').
Then you have to apply the Word in your life and speak the Word over every situation in your life.
The Word is the only weapon, you can use, against the attacks of the darkness and against every temptation.
It’s not about how you start, men kijan ou fini
Many believers have started right, but on their way something happened, that has caused them to depart from the Word. Many have been leaving the Word for the present world and have entered the way of the world. Some even have compromised the Word with the world. And because of that many have no peace and lead defeated lives. They live in misery and sorrow and don’t know that they are headed on their way to be slain.
There are children of God, who left the way of righteousness, for the love of the present world, because they couldn’t control the desires and lusts of their flesh. They couldn’t control them, because, in reality, they didn’t want to.
They choose to not kill the works of the flesh and put off the old man and put on the new man, but they choose to stay carnal and because of their love for the present world, they were seduced by the strange woman. and fell into her trap (Li tou: ‘Ki jan yo debarase m de granmoun gason an?‘ epi ‘How to put on the new man?')
The spirit of this world has seduced many Christians and caused them to enter the path of unrighteousness; the path of destruction, which will eventually lead to eternal death.
Maybe you are one of them. Oke, there’s only one way to escape and that’s through repantans.
If you truly repent and make Jesus Lord over your life and instead of leaving the Word for the present world, leaving the world for the Word, because they love the Word, you will be saved and enter the path of life.
But when you can’t let go of the world and choose for the present world, then you will not be able to serve Jesus.
Jezi di: “He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal” (Jan 12:25)
Don’t be led into temptations, don’t be seduced by the strange woman, but resist her. Stay loyal to the Word, take the Word of God in your mouth, and speak the words of God. Keep standing on the Word and don’t give up!
