The Living Well

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers with thee (Sakāmvārdi 5:15-17)

It is important in life, to build yourself up in your most holy faith. How do you build yourself up? By praying, studying and meditating on the Word of God, renewing your mind with the Word, and by becoming a doer of the Word. When you do these things, you will spiritually mature and grow up in the sonship of God.

You cannot enter the Kingdom of God and eternal life, on the basis of someone else’s faith. You can only get to know someone by spending time with that person. Without knowing a person, you cannot have faith in that person. Therefore if you want to walk in faith, you have to get to know Jesus and develop your faith in Him. How do you do that? By renewing your mind with the Word and become a doer of the Word.

The Holy Spirit lives inside of you. He is the Living Well, in your life. All followers of Jesus Christ, should draw from the Living Well, instead of draw from the well of the world.

When you read the story about the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins, you read that the 5 foolish virgins didn’t have enough oil for their lamps. When the 10 virgins went on their way to the Bridegroom, , kā arī 5 virgins brought extra oil with them, but the 5 foolish ones didn’t. Gada 5 wise virgins had just enough for themselves, and therefore couldn’t help the 5 foolish virgins. When the Bridegroom came, , kā arī 5 wise virgins went to Him. But the 5 foolish virgins, who had run out of oil, had to buy oil first. After they bought the oil, they came back at the door of the Bridegroom, but the door was already closed, they were too late. Don’t become a foolish virgin, but be a wise virgin, who is always prepared to meet the Bridegroom, when He is comes.
