After Jesus mentioned all the signs that will take place before Jesus’ return, Jesus told His disciples the parable of the fig tree. Luke not only mentioned the fig tree, but all the trees: “Behold the fig tree, and all the trees” (ल्यूक 21:29). But what is the meaning of the parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24:32-33, निशान 13:28-29, and Luke 21:29-31?
The meaning of the parable of the fig tree
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away (मैथ्यू 24:32-35)
The people of Israel were familiar with the fig tree. They knew every detail of the fig tree. They knew that when the branch became tender and put forth leaves, the summer was coming.
Jesus compared the signs of His return with the fig tree. He said that when these things, which Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24:4-30, would happen, His return would be at hand.
Jesus wanted them to become familiar with His words. Just like they were familiar with the signs of the fig tree. He wanted them (and us) to know when the summer is coming.
The words, which Jesus spoke shall not pass away, but shall last forever until they are fulfilled.
We should hold on to the words of Jesus, so that we become aware of the season we live in.
When we look at the words of Jesus and the signs of the end times, we see that we live in the last days of the end times and that the summer is coming. Almost everything, that Jesus foretold is happening around us.
Awake to righteousness and be ready to meet Jesus Christ
We can conclude, that we live in the final stage of the end times. It won’t be long before Jesus returns.
Therefore awake to righteousness and stay awake and be ready to meet Jesus Christ. Are you ready for Jesus Christ’s return?
