Nini maana ya methali 10:9, He that walks uprightly (in integrity and with moral character) walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known?
Walking in integrity with moral character
He that walks uprightly (in integrity and with moral character) walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known (Methali 10:9)
When a person walks in integrity and with moral character, he walks securely. Mtu, who walks in integrity has nothing to hide. Therefore there’s nothing to reveal. The person shall walk in the truth of God; in the light. Because the person walks in the truth of God in the light, he has nothing to fear.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly (Zaburi 84:11)
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaya 32:17)
He that walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure (Isaya 33:15-16)
The Lord is a Sun (a Source of light) and a Shield, to those, who walk in integrity in His truth.
They live in the light and God protects them. They dwell on high, because they’re Kukaa katika Yesu Kristo, katika ulimwengu wa roho. As long they stay in Jesus, neno, they shall have nothing to fear in life. Because He protects them.
The Day of the Lord will not come as a surprise. When that day comes, the Lord; Neno Hai, will judge everyone according to their works. Kila mtu, who has walked uprightly; in integrity and with moral character, has nothing to fear.
Walking in crooked ways
Hata hivyo, the person, who doesn’t walk in integrity and with moral character, perverts his ways. He walks in crooked ways in darkness. His works are evil. Mara nyingi, his evil works are hidden to the natural eyes of man, but not to the eyes of God.
Sooner or later, his works will be exposed. Because everything that happens in secret and darkness will eventually come into the light. The works of the person will be exposed, and when that happens, the person will be punished.
As long as a person lives on this earth, the person has the ability to repent and start walking uprightly on the path of righteousness Inaongoza kwa uzima wa milele.
But if a person refuses to repent of his or her wicked works and dies, it will be too late for repentance.
The Day of Judgment
On the Day of Judgment (the Day of the Lord), the Lord will judge everyone; believers and unbelievers, according to their works. Everyone will be judged and held accountable for their works on this earth. Hakuna mtu aliyetengwa.
On the Day of Judgment, the Word will judge unto eternal life or eternal death.
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, uzima wa milele: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, na amani, to every man that works good, kwa Myahudi kwanza, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God (Warumi 2:5-11)
Kwa hiyo, make Jesus your Lord and Saviour, while you still can. Walk uprightly on the path of righteousness that leads to eternal life. Don’t let the Word become your Judge, so that you will receive your eternal punishment.
