The church of Jesus Christ is placed upon the fertile soil of the Kingdom of God. This fertile soil has enough water and nutrition for the church to bear good fruit. The roots of the church should extract nutrition from this fertile soil and not from any other soil. But toward whom does the church bend her roots today?
The roots of the church are hidden in the ground
For the outside world it may look like the church is established on the right soil and the roots of the church extract nutrition from the right soil. However, one of the attributes of roots is that they are hidden in the ground. Nobody sees the roots. Therefore nobody knows where the roots extract their water and nutrition from because the roots are hidden in the ground.
The church of God, the assembly of believers may look like Christians and act the way the secular world expects Christians to be. But are they true Christians?
How do they spend their time and with what things do they feed themselves? What do they read and watch and with whom do they fellowship?
Many Christians lead a double life and have a side in them, that nobody knows.
Leaving the soil of God for the soil of the world
The devil has tempted and misled the church and through his false ministers, who unnoticeably entered the church and through their human knowledge and wisdom, own insights, opinions, and false teachings have misled many, many churches have left the soil of God for the soil of the world.
Although this is often hidden for the natural eye of the old man, it is not hidden for the Holy Spirit, Who lives inside the new creation; the new man.
God is omnipotent and sees everything. He sees what happens in secret, in darkness. And we all know that everything that happens in secret and in darkness will eventually be brought into the light. This also applies to the church.
If the church is no longer rooted in Jesus Christ; the Word and doesn’t feed herself with the things of the spiritual Kingdom of God through the Spirit, but feed herself with the things of this world through the flesh, then she will also bear the fruit of the flesh (works of the flesh).
The church will eat the fruits of her way and that’s what we see today in the church (Proverbs 1:31).
In the church and in the lives of Christians there is fornication, (sexual) uncleanness, divorce, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and so forth (Galatians 5:19-21)
A humanistic church
This is all due to the fact that the church that seems to be of God and looks like representing Jesus Christ, feeds herself with the world, engages with the world, and adopts the behavior of the world.
The church has become prideful and has exalted itself as god. The church is built upon human knowledge, wisdom, carnal intellect, philosophies, insights, and opinions instead of the Word of God. Therefore the church has become a humanistic church.
Jesus has been rejected and man has become the center. God’s commandments, which are also the commandments of Jesus Christ, have been adjusted to the lusts and desires of man. So that, man can live like the world and keep doing the works of the flesh instead of removing them from their lives.
The church is spiritually blinded and have compromised with the world.
The church has exalted herself as god and in a very subtle way, she has made adjustments to the words and commandments of God and made her own gospel and commandments.
Because of that, the church lives like the world and bears the same fruit as the world.
There is hardly any distinction between the lives of believers and the lives of unbelievers. That’s because they both feed themselves from the same soil. They have and represent the same spirit as the world, namely the spirit of the antichrist.
The spirit of the antichrist, who represents the kingdom of the devil; the world, rebels and resists against God and all His words and commandments. This spirit of the antichrist will never submit to the Word of God but shall rebel in pride and shall consciously reject the Word of God, as a god.
Has the church broken the covenant in Jesus Christ?
The church has reproached and broken the covenant in Jesus Christ by her works. The believers have changed the grace of God into lasciviousness. They have replaced the righteous love of God, which ensures that believers submit themselves to God and obey His words and keep the commandments of God, for the new age love of this world.
This new age love doesn’t acknowledge sin. Therefore this love respects, accepts, and tolerates every sinful and unrighteous behavior in the church.
The church has willfully rejected the Truth of God and replaced the Truth of God with the lies of this world, which is a bad thing. Christians are blinded in their mind by all these lies.
They think they see, but they are blind. They think they hear, but they are deaf. They cannot listen to truth of God and can’t bear the truth of God, but they keep listening and believing in the lies of the devil.
But these lies of the devil, which seem so lovely and promising, bear evil and death. And so many believers, who think they serve Jesus and God because they do what is preached and taught in the church, are on their way to destruction.
Every soul is of God
Every soul is of God and God only wants one thing and that is, that every soul be saved. That’s why He has sent His Son Jesus Christ to this world to save souls. Jesus preached the truth of the Father and the Kingdom of God and confronted the people with their sins and iniquities and called the people to repentance.
Eventually, Jesus took all the sins and iniquities of fallen man upon Himself on the cross. So that by His holy blood, everyone, who believes in Him and accepts Him as Saviour and Lord, and follows Him, shall not see death but receive eternal life.
Therefore repent to Jesus Christ and remove all the sins and iniquities from your life. Let Jesus; the Word guide you.
Don’t feed yourself with the things of this world; the things of the kingdom of the devil. Don’t listen to what the world says. Because the human wisdom and knowledge of this world are foolishness to God.
The wisdom and knowledge of the world doesn’t lead to obedience to God and eternal life, but lead to bondage and disobedience to God and the second death.
The Word of God is the Truth and trustworthy
The world and the things of this world are only temporary and will pass away. The so-called truths of this world change continuously. Scientific proofs are constantly adjusted and/or changed and old human scientific theories are replaced by new ones.
But the Word of God is the Truth and remains the Truth.
Although the world changes, the Word will never change.
The Word will always remain the same. That’s why God’s Word is reliable and brings forth life and peace.
Don’t reject the Word, but believe and submit yourself to the Word.
Listen to the Word, renew your mind, apply His words to your life and build yourself up in your most holy faith. So that, you shall walk as the Word; Jesus.
As long as you stay in the Word and stay obedient to His commandments you shall extract the right nutrition with your roots from the right soil of the Kingdom of God.
You are rooted in the one, in whom you believe. Faith means that you consider and accept the words of someone as the truth and walk according to those words.
The question is, do you believe in the words of God or do you consider the words of God outdated and do you believe the words of the world and do what the world says? Towards whom do you bend your roots?
