The middle wall of partition between man and God has been broken down by Jesus Christ; by His blood. Wonke umntu, who believes in Jesus Christ and becomes born again in Him will be placed in Him and in the hand of God. But how do you stay in the hand of God?
Khangela, I am going to take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join the stick of Judah with it and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand (Ezk 37:19)
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, yaludiliza udonga oluphakathi, oluphakathi kwethu; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, nomthetho wemithetho ekwimimiselo; for to make in himself of twain one new man, ngokwenza uxolo; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, ebubulele ngayo ubutshaba: Weza ke washumayela iindaba ezilungileyo zoxolo kuni abo bakude, nakwabakufuphi. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Eph 2:13-18)
Safe in the hand of God
In the hand of God, you will be save, protected and have peace. This is not the peace as the world gives, but it is the peace of God, that passes all understanding. As long as you stay in Christ, by staying obedient to the Word you shall live in His dominion and you shall stay in the hand of God. But as soon as you decide to go your own way and leave the Word of God, you will depart from Christ and leave the hand of God and His protection. You shall go back to your flesh and your old nature; the nature of the devil shall arise in you again and shall control your life. You shall be led by the spirits of this world, and by your obedience to them. you shall submit yourself to them and they shall control your life. Just like they did before you became a new creation.
Kwaye wena unidlise ubomi, ababefile ziziphoso na zizono; enanifudula nihamba kuzo ngokweli hlabathi, ngokomthetheli wegunya lesibhakabhaka, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: esasifudula sihamba phakathi kwethu sonke, sikhanuka iinkanuko zenyama yethu, ukufeza inkanuko yenyama neyengqondo; babe ke ngemvelo bengabantwana bengqumbo, njengabanye (Eph 2:1-3)
Moses and his rod
Moses represented God to Aaron and the people of God (Ex 4:16). He had a rod in his hand. As long as Moses kept the rod in his hand, it was a rod and he performed miracles through that rod. Nangona kunjalo, when Moses cast the rod on the ground it became a serpent. But when Moses picked up the serpent, the serpent became a rod again.
It’s the same in the spiritual realm with born again believers. Before you became born again you had the character of the devil (inyoka) and represented the devil and his kingdom by living after his will. But than Jesus came, Who is a representative of God, and picked you up.
By believing in Jesus and by becoming born again, your nature changed in the spiritual realm and you became a new creation. You became a stick in the hand of God, through which God would reign and perform miracles.
As long as you stay in Him, which means that you stay obedient to His words and do what He has commanded you to do, you will be save and you will represent and bring the Kingdom of God upon this earth. But when you decide to disobey Him and chose to go your own way, and leave His hand, the devil shall arise in you again and your nature shall become like the serpent; the devil again. Just like the rod in the hand of Moses changed into a serpent, as soon as the rod was cast on the ground. You shall become carnal again and walk after the flesh and live in sin.
Judas left the hand of God and the devil arose in him
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, watsho, Inene, inene, Ndithi kuni, that one of you shall betray me. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Nkosi, who is it? Waphendula uYesu, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly (Yoh 13:21-27)
Judas was part of the twelve disciples, who went out in Jesus His authority and preached and brought the Kingdom of God to the people, by healing the sick and casting out demons. Judas performed the same miracles as Jesus and the other disciples, who lived under His authority and protection. But when Jesus released Judas Iscariot and dismissed him from his duty as His disciple, by commanding him to do, what he wanted to do, Judas was no longer under His protection and no longer in the hand of God.
UYesu wayesazi, that Judas his love for money was bigger than his love for his Master. That’s why Judas chose for the money, instead of Jesus. When Jesus released him as His disciple, Judas left the hand of God and the devil entered his life. Judas left the room, went his way and betrayed Jesus.
Making a choice to stay in the hand of God or leave the hand of God
Every time when situations arise in your life, you have a choice: to stay obedient to the Word and the Spirit and follow Them or to listen to the world and the flesh and obey and follow them. No matter how hard the situation may be, when you listen to what the Word says and apply the Word in your life, kwaye ube ngumenzi weLizwi, you will overcome every situation and will spiritually mature. You cannot spiritually mature and walk in faith, without any difficulties and hardships. The hardships prove, where you stand and what you believe. Do you believe Gods Word or do you believe what the world says?
Sometimes the way of the Word, can make you less popular and less loved by people. It may be a more difficult way to go, then the way of the world. That’s because the way of Jesus Christ; the Word is contrary to the way of the world.
If you chose to listen to the world and walk after your flesh, it may look good in the beginning, and you may become successful according to the standards of this world. But eventually, you will reap the fruits of the flesh, which are bitter and bring forth corruption and eventually death.
Judas seemed to be blessed in the beginning, when he got what he wanted: imali. But eventually, the money, which he received by betraying the Lord Jesus Christ, became a curse to him. The fruit of the flesh he reaped was death; he killed himself.
But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil (Prov 1:33)
There’s nothing more important in life than to stay obedient to the Word and follow His way, instead of the way of the world. Only if you stay obedient to Him, you will stay in Christ and stay in the hand of God. You will be save and protected and experience joy and a peace, that passes all understanding.
