Walking in mercy and truth

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4)

When you walk in the mercy of God, and walk in the truth (walk in the Word of God, and stay faithful to Him), then you shall find favour and good understanding, in the sight of God and man. You shall love the Father and stay faithful to Him.

love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strengthWhen you Love the Father with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, e walk in His love, you shall be able to love your neighbor as yourself.

Mercy and truth are two things, which are often hard to find in this world. When you walk in mercy and truth, you shall distinguish yourself from the world.

God has set you apart, to love Him, to walk in His commandments, and to be faithful to Him. He has chosen you to be a witness of Jesus Christ on this earth.

Yes, He has chosen you to represent His Kingdom and to be His ambassador on this earth. This means, that you often say or do things, that the world doesn’t understand. Maybe they’ll find you weird, a fool or too old-fashioned. But don’t become intimidated by them. Because if you really want to follow Jesus, then that means that you should choose Him and His truth, instead of the world and the world’s truth.

Walking in mercy and truth

Jesus walked in the love for His Father, on this earth. Because He loved His Father, He was obedient to His Father and fulfilled the will of His Father. Jesus was faithful to God. He kept His commandments and by keeping the commandments of His Father, He pleased Him.

Jesus not only found favour in the sight of His Father, but also of a lot of people. Because He freed many people from the oppression of the devil; He healed the sick, He cast out demons, He brought the Kingdom of God to the people.

When you say, that you are a Christian, then you are a follower of Jesus Christ. When you are a follower of Jesus, then you shall keep His words and do the works He did. You shall walk in mercy and truth, and shall fulfil His will on this earth.
