What is the fear of the Lord? Hofu ya Mungu ni mwanzo wa hekima,
Na ujuzi wa mtakatifu ni ufahamu

Hofu ya Mungu ni mwanzo wa hekima:
a good understanding have all they that do the Lord’s commandments:
His praise endures for ever

Hofu ya Mungu ni mwanzo wa maarifa:
lakini wapumbavu hudharau hekima na mafundisho
