Heaven or hell, that’s the choice that every person must make in his or her life. The final destination of a person’s life is made during the person’s life on earth. Every person has been given a free will, to either make a choice to choose life, and receive eternal life, or to choose death, and receive eternal death. If you want to choose life, then the only way to receive eternal life is by faith and regeneration in Jesus Christ, so that you be freed from your carnal sin nature and be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Heaven and be reconciled with God.
Jesus is the only way to God
The only way to be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Heaven is through the Messiah: ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រីស្ត. There is no other way, nor another manner to receive eternal life.
Jesus is the only way, Jesus Christ is the Messiah. ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រីស្ត, God’s Son, is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. Every person has to deal with Jesus. You will either deal with Jesus Christ during your life or after your life on earth. When you deal with Jesus, during your life, it means that you believe in Him as the Son of God, and will make Jesus your Savior and Lord. But if you don’t make Jesus Saviour and Lord of your life, then you will automatically deal with Him, after you die, as Judge (អានផងដែរ។: ‘Will Jesus be your Saviour or your Judge?‘)
Jesus will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire (ម៉ាថាយ 3:11-12)
I used to think, that when you repent, you will be baptized in water, after that you will be baptized with the Holy Ghost and then you will receive the baptism of fire.
I was taught, that the baptism with the Holy Ghost is one baptism, and the baptism of fire is another baptism.
But as I was reading Matthew 3 over and over again, I thought: “yes, you can interpret it as two different baptisms, that are meant for the followers of Jesus Christ. But why is John talking about the Day of Judgment? Because he is talking about the chaff, which will be burned up with unquenchable fire”.
The followers of Jesus Christ will not be thrown into the unquenchable eternal fire. Therefore I asked myself, what kind of baptism of fire John the Baptist was talking about? Why did John the Baptist discuss the Day of judgment and the baptism of fire, with the Pharisees?
In Matthew chapter 3:11-12, John is indeed talking about two baptisms; one with the Holy Ghost and one with fire. But these two baptisms are not both meant for the believers and followers of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus doesn’t speak about the baptism of fire, but about the baptism with the Holy Ghost.
The baptism with the Holy Ghost
Let’s have a look at the Day of Pentecost, when the disciples received the baptism of the Holy Ghost; the promise of the Father.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:2-4)
We read, that upon the believers appeared cloven tongues (languages) like as of fire, and sat upon each of them. This manifestation proved, that they were filled with the Holy Ghost.
This is one baptism: the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It is the baptism, that Jesus Himself promised to His disciples. It was the only baptism, they were waiting for.
Nowhere in the Bible is it written, that they were filled with the Holy Ghost and later on with fire. ទេ, the speaking in other languages; other tongues, was the proof that they were baptized with the Holy Spirit.
What does the word baptism mean?
Baptism is translated from the Greek word ‘baptisma’ និងមានន័យថា: baptism. This word is derived from the word ‘baptizo’, ដែលមានន័យថា: to make whelmed (means cover wholly with a fluid), to dip, to wash, to immerse.
To be baptist means: a full immersion. In reference to Matthew 3, it means: a full immersion, being fully dipped into the Holy Ghost and fully immersed, fully dipped into fire.
The baptism with fire
This promise of the full immersion with the Holy Ghost happened on the day of Pentecost, but the full immersion with fire; the baptism with fire, has not happened yet. Though the Bible is talking about the baptism with fire in Revelation 20:
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10-15)
This is what John the Baptist was referring to. John the Baptist knew Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He knew the power and authority of Jesus Christ and he informed the Pharisees about it.
The father of the world, the devil, is a deceiver, a liar, and a killer. The devil tries to captivate as many people as possible and take them with him into the eternal lake of fire, which is the eternal destination of the devil and all his followers.
Heaven or hell
Jesus came to free man from the power of the devil, to redeem them from their sinful nature. Jesus loves you so much, that He gave Himself for you. He doesn’t want your final destination to be hell. Jesus wants to give you eternal life.
Jesus did everything He could to save you. Now, it’s up to you what you decide.
Will you believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and do you believe in His work of redemption and accept Jesus as Savior and Lord? Or not?
If you don’t accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, then Jesus shall become your Judge.
If you don’t choose life, then you automatically chose death. When Jesus becomes your Judge you will be baptized with the baptism of fire.
ដូច្នេះ, make the right choice, while you still have the ability to make a choice.
