One day we will all stand before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ (Ecc 12:14, Mat 3:11, Joh 5:22, ROM 2:15-16, ROM 14:10-12, 2Co 5:10). No one knows, when that day will come, empa ntho e le nngwe ke ya nnete: that day will come! When that day will come, wouldn’t it be great, if you stand before the throne of the Lord and hear Him say: “Well done, you faithful servant.” I think every believer wants to hear these words, don’t you think? But with today’s modern variations of the gospel, you might wonder if these words will be heard.
The responsibility of the believers
Jesu Kreste, Mora Modimo, came in the flesh to this earth. He died on the cross, was raised from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God. By the blood of Jesus Christ, you have been saved and reconciled to the Father. Ka nchafatso, you’ve become a son of God and have been redeemed from the kingdom of darkness and its satanic power.
Jesus has raised an assembly of born again believers, who are His Body: His Church. They represent and maintain the spiritual authority and government of the Kingdom of God on this earth. The Body of Christ reigns in Him over every principality, matla, ruler of darkness, and evil spirit in the heavenly places etc.
The believers should rule over sin, instead of sin ruling over them. Because if believers keep walking in sin, it means that they still walk according to the will of the devil and live in slavery and the bondage of sin.
The believers of Jesus Christ should be ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, who walk after the Spirit, representing Jesus Christ to the people. That means, that you walk after the Spirit and the Word, and live according to the will of Jesus, which is also the will of the Father, and preach and represent the Kingdom of God to the people. So that Jesus and God will be exalted and glorified by your walk and your life.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Mat 5:16)
Verily, verily, Ke re ho lona, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (Jn 14:12-13)
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Th 1:11-12)
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen (1 Pe 4:11)
