Wisdom cries without; she utters her voice in the streets: wisdom cries in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she utters her words, patarlė, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge (Patarlės 1:20-22)
The wisdom cries, but who will listen?
The Wisdom cries, but who will listen? Which ears are willing to listen and receive wisdom? The wisdom cries to those, who live without God and do not walk after His commandments. These are the simples ones, the scorners, and the fools. The simple ones are those, who love simplicity. They don’t want to receive true wisdom. Ne, they despise the wisdom of God, and don’t want to have anything to do with it. They just want to enjoy the pleasures of life, be entertained and enjoy the things, that the world has to offer.
The scorners go their own way
The scorners go their own way, and delight themselves in their scorning. Todėl, they can’t stop scorning. The fools hate God and they hate His knowledge and His wisdom. According to them, the wisdom of God is foolishness. They belong to the world and have the mind of the world. Todėl, they walk in the knowledge and wisdom of the world, which is foolishness to God.
They all live their own lives, and do what they want to do. They are carnal and live after the flesh; the sinful nature. Their eyes are blinded, and their ears are deaf, their mind is filled with the lies and deceptions of this world.
The Wisdom cries, but no one is willing to listen to Him. There is no one, who is willing to repent and obey Him.
