There are many Christians committing adultery in secret. But when you commit adultery, no matter whether you commit adultery in secret or openly, you shall not be innocent but you shall be guilty of sin. The act of adultery shall have consequences for you, whether you like it or not. The truth is, that you can’t commit adultery unnoticed.
Christians committing adultery in secret
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned? So he that goes in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever touches her shall not be innocent (Proverbs 6:27-29)
Many Christians do things secretly. They think that God can’t see what they are doing. They think this way, because they are carnal and are led by their senses, and don’t know the Word of God. They live in the natural realm instead of the spiritual realm. But God sees everything, God is omnipotent. God even knows your thoughts. And so God sees when you commit adultery and committing adultery shall have consequences for you.
In Proverbs 6 the strange woman is not only literally the strange woman, but the meaning of the strange woman, is also the world.
When you, as a Christian, walk after the Spirit, but open the door for the flesh, then it shall not be too long, before the flesh shall reign again in your life, and you shall live in the bondage of the flesh and sin. When you allow the strange woman into your life, you shall walk after the flesh, and shall not be able to please God.
Everyone, who plays with fire, shall be burned. Everyone who goes upon hot coals shall burn his or her feet. And so shall everyone, who touches a strange woman, the wife of his neighbor, not be innocent, but guilty.
Therefore, think before you act!
